An Unexpected Beginning

Steve and Brittany’s love story began in the most modern way – through Snapchat! Brittany, seeing lightning rods being installed on her friend’s barn, jokingly asked if her friend’s boyfriend, Adam, had any single friends or family members. As fate would have it, Adam’s cousin, Steve, had already caught Brittany’s eye through mutual Facebook connections. She added him on Facebook and sent a friendly message: “Hey, thanks for accepting my add!” From that moment, they talked day and night, but what really sealed the deal was when Steve invited Brittany over for dinner a few weeks later. He cooked a delicious homegrown steak, and their connection was undeniable. The rest, as they say, is history!

A Perfect Christmas Proposal

Steve planned a picture-perfect proposal around Brittany’s favorite holiday, Christmas. On December 17, 2022, they enjoyed a day date at Easton, complete with a delicious steak dinner. As snow began to fall, they walked to a beautifully lit Christmas tree to take pictures. Unbeknownst to Brittany, Steve had arranged for her best friends, her mom, and their daughters to witness the moment. With the music and lights perfectly timed, Steve went down on one knee and proposed. He even had cute shirts made for their girls saying, “dibs on the jr. bridesmaid” and “dibs on the flower girl”!

Brittany’s advice for future couples is invaluable: “Don’t stress on the little things! Only you will know if something ‘went wrong’ and once you look back, you will realize that everything that was supposed to be just was and it was all perfect!”
